Industry Training Leadership Training Program Faculty of Engineering Technology 2018

The program involves approximately 660 students of the Faculty of Engineering Technology who will undergo industrial training in semester 2, 2018/2019. The program was held at DK1 and DK4, UniMAP Pauh Putra Permanent Campus.

Program started with Workplace Safety and Health Slot delivered by En. Hazlee & En. Edinorrasis from Perlis State Safety & Health Department (DOSH).

Subsequently, the program is linked to the Industrial Training Slot as the Basic Career delivered by En. Jaber Azwan from Averrous Technologies and Ms. Mei Ng of Top Glove Sdn Bhd. The second slot focuses on preparation and tips for students who will undergo industrial training.

ARAU - Perlis King, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) staff and students needed to master the culture of the Smart Community 5.0 to advance the country which is famous for the icon of the harumanis.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said the formation of the Smart Community 5.0 focuses on the enhancement of advanced technology, infrastructure and effective and dynamic knowledge.

"Implementing initiatives involving entrepreneurial activities can also have a positive impact on local communities and should be intensified.

"Hence, the high impact entrepreneurship field and using this sophisticated technology is expected to benefit more than 250,000 people in Perlis," he said. He said he hoped to attend and officially launch the GIG Economy @ UniMAP 2018 Program at UniMAP Pauh Putra's Permanent Campus here today.

Also present was Perlis's Young Lady, Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.

Also present, Chairman of the Board of UniMAP, Prof. Emeritus Datuk Dr. Kamarudin Hussin and UniMAP Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal.
