A joint discussion session between UniMAP and Silterra Technology Sdn Bhd. The UniMAP delegation was led by DVC Academic & International, Prof Dr Rezuwan Kamaruddin and representatives from CIGC, School of Manufacturing Engineering, PPIPT, School of Microelectronics Engineering and Faculty of Engineering Technology. Silterra is led by Mr. Munawir Ab Ghani, VP of Human Resources as CEO @ Faculty and attended by Mr. Arjun Kumar, Senior VP MEMS & Sensor Design Technology. Thank you for collaborative planning involving lecturer attachment, research project projects, 3u1i mode and many other collaborative activities. InshaAllah further discussion will be held soon.

Purpose :

Discussion on research collaboration towards potential business in the electric bus industry.

-RPSB represented En Shabandi (MD), SBN represented Mr Alvinol (CEO) and DT was represented Ms Amina (Overseas Project Manager).

Outcome :

-Alhamdulillah, there are many opportunities for the UniMAP's lecturers to cooperate in this technology. InshaAllah is going to create a research laboratory in UniMAP

Partnership with TalentCorp deals with Structured Industrial Training and Graduate Employability programmes.

Outcome :

Purpose :

Discussion and visit to Muehlbauer Technology Sdn Bhd with CIGC and FTK to explore collaborative opportunities. This is a continuation of early discussions with MIDA

Outcome :

-The Muehlbauer agrees for the 2U2I collaboration for technology programs, LI and GE, donations of automation equipment and industrial labs are under consideration.

-There are also 2 of our alumni who work here, Pn Nabila (PPK Diploma Mekatronik) and En Zamri (PPK Mekatronik). Both two were in Slovakia on business.

Discussion meeting for the launch of the Infineon Digital Hub in UniMAP

Purpose :

The CIGC is applied to help FTK and the library in implementing the beam Infineon Council at the UniMAP's library.

Outcome :

-On the FCR initiative, Infineon agreed to sponsor the Infineon space at the Digital Hub Library Unicity and the possibility of sponsoring the space in the library is still in consideration of the Infineon.

-The decision to join NICE 4 has not been disconnected. The proposal date for the opening was at 23/4/2019. The Council will also be attended by UniMAP's vice chancellor and CEO of Infineon and they are keen to participate in Nice 4 and Career Talk which will be delivered to the Infineon CEO if the launch date can be carried out on the proposed date.

Purpose :

-Discussion with PPK bioprocess (PPKBp) related reports on the achievement of PPKBp in 2018 for graduates (GE), Industrial Training (LI) and Industrial Network (JI)

Outcome :

-PPKBp took the status of 2018 achievements. Weaknesses, strengths and opportunities can be identified. -2019 activity planning has also been shared and received positive reception from PPKBp

Intel Friendly tour to UniMAP

Purpose :

-The Intel Penang delegation led by Vice President Intel Penang, Lynn Olson made a friendly visit to UniMAP to get acquainted with the top management of the UniMAP headed by Vice Chancellor Dato ' Prof. Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal to discuss early planning In the success of the CEO program @ FACULTY organised by the Ministry of Education.

Outcome :

-UniMAP and Intel have proposed several early stages of programs involving Intel's industry experts in contributing to the academic development of UniMAP's students. Intel is also committed to working with UniMAP in ensuring the purpose of the CEO Program @ FACULTY was achieved.

Final year undergraduate interview with SHOWA @ Perlis

Purpose :

-The internal interview programme between UniMAP and SHOWA involved 44 students who were shortlisted from 240 applications that had been submitted on the career Carnival day "Northern Industrial Career Engagement (NICE 4) 2019 ".

Outcome :

-From 44, only 40 who were present for the interviewed on the second day. Student who successfully done the second interview will be present for the last interview at SHOWA Perlis
